Day one, the Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop has begun! For the first project, I started with the cutest little Sizzix Scoreboards Pro Die — House, 3D, designed by my talented friend Eileen Hull.

This project comes at an apropos time. Having just purchased my first home this summer and being in the middle of transitioning my studio from one location to the next, I was inspired to design and put together my miniature house utilizing my Something to Cherish embroidery and watercolor techniques.
I started by applying watercolor patterns directly on the surface of the house elements as well as scrap watercolor paper. I was able to quickly make the trims and roof tiling using my very resourceful Quick Snippers compact decorative scissors. The house is held together by adorable mini round paper fasteners by Creative Impressions, which also make for a wonderful accents on the flowers as well. The interior of the windows and doors have been lined with felt, giving the home a soft and warm welcome.

Thank you all for the feedback. It was fun to do, I have been really inspired by the tween girl market lately and thought it would be fun to bring that in with some of my “Something to Cherish” stitching. I look forward to the next one.
