True Love Vintage Handmade Card

12 Years ago on Labor Day, my wonderful husband Benjamin took me to me to the top of Guanella Pass in the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

For this month’s Designer Blog Hop Challenge theme “Vintage,” I am sharing a personal card I made for a friend who is about to begin her own marriage adventure.

To make this lovely vintage handmade card, I started with a lovely piece of handmade lavender paper and using mod podge, I added some pink lace to the background. For the centerpiece, I am using a traditional teardrop crystal chandelier prism and mod-podged to the back of that, so it shows through, a snippet of the true love ribbon.

In traditional pen and ink, I wrote: “Above all else love each another.” I truly believe that putting your life-long partner’s needs first every day in a loving way is the biggest secret to a beautiful marriage, that along with a generous measure of forgiveness.
