You are valuable.

Dear fellow time-travelers. We are about to embark upon the year 2020! The future is here, but it’s not very pretty.

My heart has been wrenching with the pain I see all around us. You and I are no strangers to this phenomenon, but I feel compelled to share this message with the hope that we can make a difference for someone out there that is silently suffering.

In our hyper-technological age that’s evolving at the speed of light, so many people are feeling left behind. Not feeling good enough as we can never measure up to the perfect/successful lifestyles that are constantly presented to us on the most beautiful social media accounts and most alluring movies and TV programs. All the filters and editing out of the unpleasantness of life is causing an unnatural shift in our thinking so we don’t want to believe what is really real.

On top of it all, there are ongoing messages that teach us to live in fear and ads telling us we don’t have it together. They urge us that we are not enough without whatever it is they are selling. Our attention spans are at a critical low and it’s affecting the depth of our work and sadly, we are not drinking the joy and richness from the most ‘mundane’ parts of life. Our ‘smart’ phones are certified machines of addiction.

We are losing the most critical element we need for survival… real human connection!

If you are still reading this, I am giving you a virtual *high-five* because you really are the hope of humanity. You have the ability to speak up and break this disastrous chain of events that’s unfolding.

How can we do this with such a daunting task ahead? We start by recognizing the value we have inside ourselves as pure humans. Embrace it and acknowledge it. And then do that for someone near to you. Let them know the real struggles of life, be genuine, be there for them. Use your gifts, talents and resources to help others. Spend more time looking at and interacting with real people than you do with machines.

The world doesn’t need more artificial intelligence, it needs more intelligent humanity!

Be the best, beautiful, messed up, authentic human that you are. Don’t be afraid, but embrace the hard stuff of life because that is what polishes that gorgeous diamond that is hidden inside of you. Strive to do better each day, encourage and surround those around you with as much love as you can. Draw your strength from your Creator who is the source of all that is love.

You are valuable.

You have something special to share… and that something special is YOU!

Cherish! So much yes!! We have so many opportunities to share life… when we look up. Look up from our devices, look up to the Father and look to see where our life is really heading. Thanks for this wonderful reminder to be human!!!
