Sometimes is feels like I’m fighting 7 Goliaths at once. It’s tempting to get overwhelmed and give in. But, no matter how heated the battle gets, life is worth fighting for. I’m not holding out hope that some magical day in the future is going to calm things down. We are burning precious daylight waiting for tomorrow to be better. So, I’m going to continue to put God first, put on my armor, let Him do the heavy lifting, and focus only on my small part as I take His lead in this daily fight. This moment is worth fighting for. This moment is worth living for.

Don’t give up. Don’t surrender your today for the mirage of tomorrow. You are loved and you are worth it!

My mission is love.

This month has been off the charts. There have been some challenges (continued prayers for my friends and family that are dealing with serious health issues). In the last few days, I have had some personal breakthroughs... finally! So much of it is the mindset and deciding on some things. Some are the opening of up new doors of opportunity. Others are about finding the right people to walk this journey with. I have so many gifts of life bursting inside of my heart. Things that have been growing in me for a long, long time. Getting them out there has been my challenge. But they are all starting to come out, imperfectly maybe, but hopefully in the right order... or not... But, all of this to say... connecting with the deeper WHY is such a gift. There's no mistake that God led my parents to call me Cherish. I'm not perfect, by far, but it is my desire to be on a mission of LOVE.

I can't do this alone. And whatever your MISSON is and whatever your WHY is, you can't do it alone either. We need a community. I'm thankful for my amazing network of friends and colleagues. Especially in the season of COVID and the new reality of remote working and online everything, I love that I can pick up the phone and have a heart-to-heart and those little conversations are the light of life.

What's your mission?
What can you do to get connected today?
Who can you call?

Sending much love

Side note: If you are looking for an uplifting community, you are welcome to come to our “Something To Cherish” Facebook group. It's the group of some of the best people I have ever been blessed to know. We are all about uplifting one another and cherishing each moment as a gift.

Waking up to 6 degree weather in snow covered Colorado makes me want to snuggle with the cat by the fire with a hot cup of pumpkin spiced goodness. But considering that it’s a Monday, lighting summer scented candles while painting in the studio was probably even better.

What’s your go-to for feeling warm and cozy on a freezing cold work day?

*Fun fact: The little swan was sculpted by my Grandma Flieder, she was quite a talent herself. It’s a joy to have little treasures around to keep her memory alive in my heart.

It’s been quite the season! As we prepare for fall I’m excited to launch a new watercolor project I’m working on with @bridgetsbotanicals celebrating the herbs that have grown all summer and are now dried and ready to be added to nourishing herbal teas and tinctures!

Follow here to see which herbs I paint and learn a little bit about each one.

Special thanks to @meiningerartsupply for the little watercolor kit pictured here. It is a joy to be and artist and teacher in the @worldwatercolorgroup and Colorado community @rmcad 💗

Fall watercolor classes will be launching this October. DM for details.
