Thrive Authentically

2020 is here!

What is your 2020 Vision? This is how I see it. This is our year to thrive together, to be more nourished by nature, to dig our roots deeper in faith, and to share our fruitful harvest as we authentically express whom we are created to be! (Scroll to the bottom of this post to learn about my word for the year.)

As a watercolor designer who loves making things, I created a little gift for you to celebrate the new year! Actually three gifts.

(1) Inspirational digital wallpaper for your phone, (2) digital wallpaper for your computer or tablet and (3) a printable 2020 calendar you can hang near your work station.

You can download the zip file here to get your goodies.
(it’s 7.34 MB, so be patient ;) )

Here’s a little overview of what is in the ZIP folder.

What’s Your WORD for the YEAR?

Many people choose a word for the year instead of setting unrealistic goals that are sure to be broken. The word you choose is a little guide or intention for how you will do all the things you want to do in the new year.

In 2018, I chose “Flourish.” In 2019, my word was “Amplify.” This year I’m making my own rules and choosing two words. “Thrive Authentically.”

What does “Thrive Authentically” mean to you?

For me, “Thrive Authentically” is a challenge to blossom and be the best I can be to my fullest potential. It means to stop thinking too much about what others do or think and run the race that God has set to be my path. I am naturally learner and a sponge and I am easily distracted by all the amazing colors and opportunities that abound. But, I have to get reconnected with my roots and the purpose I must set my hands to. Our time on earth is short and even though I have accomplished a lot by some people’s standards, I don’t feel like I’ve even scratched the surface of the dreams I know I have been created to do. I’m excited to take it one step at a time as often these steps are not clear, but the next step is likely right under my nose. ;)

Where do we start if we want to thrive authentically?

We often get overwhelmed by life and say “I don’t know what to do!” My new favorite phrase I ask myself when I get stuck on my path is to add a little word to the end of that sentence and I tell myself, “I don’t know what to do, yet.” It opens up my brain to start exploring solutions and that’s exactly the best next step forward when you feel stuck.

Carry with you this truth.

I have learned over the years this truth – walking in who your Creator has made you to be will make you the happiest. As you reach out to use your gifts to serve others, you will find limitless joy!

When we suppress what we know we should do and don’t fully express who we really are we are not thriving and we are not being authentic. There’s a major danger many these days are running into and that is to be what the media says we should be, and call it our authentic expression of ourselves. But, deep down inside its a counterfeit for the real thing. Instead of making lives better it’s making every even more miserable and depressed! I challenge you to check your gut that you are not falling into this very alluring and subtle trap. So many people are even more unhappy these days when they act out their lives for the sake of societal norms and trends. Guard your heart, it’s the wellspring of life! (Proverbs 4:23)

I want the best for you Beloved. You are loved by your Creator, beyond the moon and the stars. Because you are loved so much, even beyond every measure you can think of. You are made uniquely in the image of God and your very life is a treasure! You are worthy of love and you are created to love your Maker and others in response. <3

You are worth living authentically for. You are worthy to thrive!

Let’s do this together!!!

Last year we created a lovely “Something to Cherish” group where we can support and encourage one another.

I’m so incredibly blessed to have some of the best people I’ve ever met in this group. I would love to invite to join us for an uplifting and beautiful experience.

Together let’s live our most cherished lives and THRIVE AUTHENTICALLY!
Because LIFE IS A GIFT.
